"I have had the extreme pleasure of working with Dr. Marcus Elliott for the past three years at our Annual SAC (Speed-Agility-Conditioning) Conference in California. As a high performance coach and lecturer, Marcus has few equals within the scientific field of sport. His influence and interpersonal mentoring skills has led many coaches down the path to immediate success. His insight and knowledge of sport is something that is greatly appealing to every coach who hears him speak."
--Brent MacFarlane
Head Coach; Canadian Olympic Team, Sydney,'00
"Dr. Elliott has an eye and an ability to pick up things and identify problems that I've never seen anybody do... How often do you meet a true pioneer? "
--Mark McKown
Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Utah Jazz
"What Dr. Elliott and his staff at P3 are doing is remarkable. By using the latest scientific research, their training helps athletes perform at their highest potential. We've seen an amazing transformation with some of our players that have spent their off-seasons training at P3. The success that they have had with our organization is contributed to their training at P3. We would like to thank Dr. Elliott and P3 for openly sharing their training philosophy, and wish them the best in their quest towards creating elite athletes. "

Marcus Elliott, MD - Director
Dr. Elliott is a Harvard trained physician specializing in performance enhancement and the development of elite athletes. As Founder and Director of P3, he is dedicated to applying cutting edge science for optimal athletic achievement. He has trained some of the world's best athletes including those at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Sports Science Institute of South Africa. Since 1998, Dr. Elliott's primary focus has been on peak performance and injury prevention in U.S. professional power-based sports, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball and soccer.
Starting in 1999 and continuing through their Super Bowl drive, Dr. Elliott was the physiologist and injury prevention specialist to the NFL's New England Patriots. He was widely credited with reducing muscle injuries in the Patriots and is currently completing NFL sponsored research leading to recommendations on optimal conditioning and injury prevention strategies. He is also a sports science consultant for a number of professional organizations, including the Utah Jazz and is in his first season as the Seattle Mariners first-ever Director of Sports Science and Performance. In recent years, more precise development and injury prevention of professional baseball players has become a core focus at Dr. Elliott's P3 sports science center.
Dr. Elliott is an internationally renowned leader in the field of sports science, a highly acclaimed speaker and serves on several boards in the sports and performance nutrition fields. He resides in Santa Barbara with his wife Nadine and two children.
In his own words:
"Age-old thinking is that success in athletics is determined by genetics, natural ability, sport-specific skill, and a strong work ethic. Current training programs offer a "one size fits all" cookie-cutter approach which typically includes weight lifting plus maybe some plyometrics and sprints. The paradigm has shifted. Elite athletes now need to possess power, strength, mobility, flexibility and other biomechanical factors that affect their ability to link successive segments to compete effectively in their sport's and position's unique movements. We use our backgrounds in sports science, along with sophisticated technologies to give competitive advantages to athletes by addressing and attacking their body's and sport's needs specifically."
Corey Blick - General Manager
Corey is a co-Founder of the FRS Company, where he was instrumental in assembling a world-class team of beverage and nutritional experts to build a successful new brand. As the former Marketing Director, Corey helped the Company build its distribution network and played a major role in creating the brand, all product lines and marketing execution. His strength and passion lie in business and marketing development in the fields of sports, health and performance. Corey was a 4-year starter for the Westmont College Men's Basketball program, where he holds several records including most career 3 pointers and graduated with a degree in Business and Economics in 2001.
In his own words:
"I have known Marcus for over 5 years and as a former athlete am thoroughly impressed with how knowledgeable he is in the science of athletic development and performance nutrition, and even more importantly, his unique ability to apply it towards building phenomenal athletes. While I wish I had the opportunity to train at P3 growing up, it is an honor to be part of P3, a culture that inspires people to achieve things they didn't know they were capable of."
Woody Cliffords - Director of Baseball Operations, Performance Specialist
As a former professional baseball player, Woody leads P3's baseball operations. Woody has had success in training professional athletes and high school and collegiate teams including Pepperdine's Baseball, Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer teams through Sportswest Training. Woody met Dr. Elliott in 2005, retired from baseball in 2006 after 5 full seasons (including 2002 and 2003 Minor League All-Star selections) ending in AAA and did an internship with P3 in 2007. Woody's athletic experience proves invaluable in applying P3's sport science into the unique sport of baseball.
In his own words:
"I am convinced that had I had P3 at my disposal early in my career that I would be playing at the highest level now. As a Performance Specialist for P3 I gladly take on the opportunity to develop those athletes on the cusp of taking their game to the next level. I am absolutely convinced that what we do at P3 is generations ahead of what is available to athletes around the country today."
Sam Brown - Performance Specialist
Born and Raised in Santa Barbara, Sam was inspired by athletics and sport throughout his childhood. Sam was licensed as a Massage Therapist in 2001 and having worked as a PT Aide for 2 years learning the fundamentals of rehabilitation and treatment of injuries. Sam is studying and applying rehabilitation and biomechanics into athlete development. Sam both trained and played on the 2004 State Final Four Volleyball team at Santa Barbara City College. Sam also leads P3's youth programs which have proven to be immensely effective.
In his own words:
"An injury introduced me to Dr. Marcus Elliott and I was very interested with the work he was doing as it was completely different than anything I had ever seen. I was very fortunate to be awarded an internship at P3 as it has improved my life in all aspects. The environment at P3 creates so many opportunities to learn on a daily basis, and the science based philosophy creates rationale for every single movement an athlete performs. With P3's outstanding reputation with developing interns, I was honored to become the first intern to be hired as a Performance Specialist."
Arri Jeschke - Performance Specialist
Arri received an athletic scholarship to play indoor volleyball at University of Hawaii (2002-2004), where he worked on his exercise science degree. He then played professional beach volleyball on the AVP and decided to become a Personal Trainer in 2007. He was accredited through NASM and started his internship working his way into a full-time performance specialist position in 2008.
In his own words:
"As an athlete, student of exercise science and certified personal trainer, I thought I had solid knowledge about training athletes. However, P3 revolutionized my thinking of applying real science to training athletes. Training in my spare time I have experienced tremendous gains from the workouts we take our athletes through. If I had only known earlier in my career what I know now I can't imagine where I would be. I now take pride in training both professional and amateur athletes who are fortunate to have access to P3's science-based athletic development."
